Process Control Technologist – BLNG/TPC1 (JG04)

Purpose
As part of the BLNG Process Control team, you will design, develop, and implement Base Layer Process Control, Advanced Process Control (APC), and Procedural Automation solutions. Your role focuses on optimizing plant safety, reliability, and efficiency while ensuring continuous business value. Collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Shell Global, and OEMs is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide process control support to ensure reliability and meet contractual sales obligations.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize base layer, safeguarding, APC, and Procedural Automation applications.
• Troubleshoot and improve control strategies to close performance gaps.
• Lead Process Control MoCs from concept to implementation.
• Support projects through design reviews, FAT/SAT, start-ups, and turnarounds.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years’ process control engineering experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, collaboration, and stakeholder management.
• Experience in APC revamps, Foxboro DCS, and compressor control schemes preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
