Mechanical Technician

Job Objectives:
To perform all activities related to maintenance in Carbon areas in order to ensure equipment availability and performance.

Job Description:

• During forced outages assist where needed in order to ensure the highest plant availability and earliest return to service.
• Carry out inspections and routine plant running checks in order to prevent malfunction and maximize performance and efficiency of equipment.
• Perform corrective maintenance on equipment in the Carbon Plant in order to restore it to working order as quickly as possible.
• Assist in conduction Root Cause Analysis by interrogating the data in order to determine underlying reasons for faults.
• Update data and maintain histories within the CMMS to ensure that latest valid information in available.
• Provide input and recommend the continuous improvement of the company practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
• Comply with all agreed occupational health, safety and environmental regulations in order to protect personnel and physical assets. Ensure that the work areas are kept in a clean and tidy state in order that work can be carried out safely and effectively.

Job Objectives:
The Media Editor/Copywriter & Content Creator will assist in developing engaging and professional content that supports Qatalum’s communication efforts, including PR campaigns, social media, blogs, video scripts, and corporate communications. The role will focus on contributing to content that effectively communicates the company’s story, values, and achievements, while ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines and objectives. Also to work closely with cross-functional teams to gather information and assist in the production of content that meets the needs of various departments. They will provide writing and editing support for internal and external communications, contribute to reports, and help coordinate editorial schedules.

Job Description:

• Content Creation & Editorial Excellence:
  • Develop, write, and edit high-quality content for press releases, newsletters, blogs, social media posts, and other corporate communications.
  • Ensure all content is clear, accurate, well-researched, and aligned with Qatalum’s brand and corporate guidelines.
  • Contribute to the development of key corporate publications such as sustainability reports, project updates, and internal communications.

Minimum Qualification Required

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  
  Required experience
• 3-5 years of experience in content writing, copywriting, or public relations
