Mechanical Technician
Job Objectives:
Perform all activities related to maintenance in Carbon areas to ensure equipment availability and performance.
Job Description:
- During forced outages assist where needed to ensure the highest plant availability and earliest return to service.
- Carry out inspections and routine plant running checks to prevent malfunction and maximize the performance and efficiency of the equipment.
- Perform corrective maintenance on equipment in the Carbon Plant to restore it to working order as quickly as possible.
- Assist in conducting Root Cause Analysis by interrogating the data to determine underlying fault reasons.
- Update data and maintain histories within the CMMS to ensure the latest valid information is available.
- Provide input and recommend the continuous improvement of the company practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards, and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
- Comply with all agreed occupational health, safety and environmental regulations to protect personnel and physical assets. Ensure that the work areas are kept in a clean and tidy state so that work can be carried out safely and effectively.
- Minimum Qualification Required
- Relevant Technical/Trade qualification
Required experience - 4-6 years experience in a similar position in the Aluminium industry
Job Specific Skills
- Through understanding of design and operation of all the equipment in the Carbon Plant
- Thorough knowledge of all processes within all production areas of the Carbon Plant including assessment and verification as competent.
- Detailed knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems
- SAP experience in PM&MM modules as a user.

SAP FI-CO Analyst
Job Objectives:
To develop, implement, and maintain the SAP applications and connected systems used at the Qatalum plant ensuring their maximum performance, availability, and reliability to fit Qatalum business requirements optimally.
Job Description:
- SAP Business Systems – SAP Functional area of Support: Finance, Controlling, Treasury and Project systems
- Analyze business requirements and business processes and transform them into a solution with optimal utilization of SAP and related applications and system reliability.
- Develop, Design, Configure, Customize, and Implement SAP applications in the respective modules as per international best practices and SAP recommendations with increased efficiency and maximum utilization
- Manage or coordinate internal and external projects within the area (modules) of responsibility
- Develop and support all technical documentation in configuration, customization, programs, training documents, business process documents, Test scripts in respective modules
- Actively seek innovative solutions to utilize the latest technologies, functions & features, Investigate capabilities of new versions of SAP applications, and advise businesses for best/optimal utilization
- Active participation in knowledge sharing with the business team & IS/IT team and coaching of Key users based on requirements
- Manage / Support the audit requirements, and security requirements in the respective applications as per business requirements.
- Required experience
- 10-12 years SAP ECC and S/4 Hana experience within customizing, configuring, SAP project implementation and/or programming for selected areas of SAP
Job-Specific Minimum Skills
- Strong SAP S/4 Hana application competencies in FI, CO, Treasury, and Project system modules
- Good awareness of Workflow, ABAP
- Experience in SAP Solman systems in Incident management and CHARM
- Strong business knowledge/understanding is required for all FI and CO area
- Project management skill capabilities being able to manage and administrate IS/IT projects.
- Strong working experience in SAP Activate methodology for S/4 Hana project implementation
- Working and troubleshooting knowledge in the respective area
