🔧 Workshop Machine Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Machine Maintenance Technician responsible for the maintenance, repair, and complete overhauling of workshop machinery. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical expertise to ensure optimal machine performance, reliability, and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Overhauling & Repairs
- Disassemble, inspect, and overhaul workshop machines including Lathe, Milling, Drilling, Shearing, Band Saw, Welding, Rolling, and Bending machines
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out corrective actions
- Replace worn or damaged components such as bearings, gears, motors, and electrical parts
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
- Monitor machine performance and identify potential issues before breakdowns occur
Mechanical & Electrical Troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits, control panels, and wiring systems
- Repair or replace motors, starters, sensors, and related electrical components
- Align and calibrate mechanical assemblies to ensure precision and efficiency
Technical Support
- Provide technical guidance to machine operators on safe handling and minor troubleshooting
- Assist with machine upgrades and integration of modern electrical control systems when required
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field)
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in workshop machine maintenance and overhauling
- Strong working knowledge of Lathe, Milling, Drilling, Shearing, Band Saw, Welding, Rolling, and Bending machines
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
- Proficient in using hand tools, measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment
- Solid understanding of industrial safety standards and maintenance best practices
