Fleet Technical Superintendent – Dubai
About the Role
Based at our Dubai Corporate Office, the Fleet Technical Superintendent is responsible for managing repairs, maintenance, dockings, and overall technical upkeep of the fleet, ensuring cost-effective and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations
- Manage fleet-wide dockings, surveys, upgrades, repairs, and breakdowns
- Provide technical support for projects, insurance, and P&I claims
- Prepare docking and repair specifications with regional teams
- Coordinate procurement of spare parts and technical services
- Supervise shipyards, contractors, OEM service teams, and site activities
- Liaise with regional offices, country managers, and technical teams
- Attend vessels/sites as required
Planning & Cost Control
- Develop project budgets, tender documents, and repair plans
- Support vendor sourcing and contract negotiations
- Monitor project costs, schedules, and report deviations
- Control vessel technical budgets and planned maintenance performance
- Assist in fleet annual docking and survey planning
Reporting & Systems
- Provide daily project/docking progress reports
- Maintain records in the NS5 Planned Maintenance System
- Prepare technical reports for management
Additional Duties
- Maintain strong knowledge of fleet operations and technical standards
- Support continuous improvement and training initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- Marine Engineering Class 1 (Class 2 considered with experience), or
- Degree in Engineering / Naval Architecture / Electromechanical fields
- Chief Engineer offshore vessel experience with 5+ years shore-based supervision, or
- 10+ years as Technical/Dry Docking Superintendent
Key Skills
- Fleet maintenance and dry-docking expertise
- Knowledge of Class Society rules (ABS, DNV, BV)
- Planned Maintenance Systems (NS5 / AMOS)
- CAD and technical drawing interpretation
- Strong cost control and project management skills
Technical Projects & Maintenance Planner – Dubai
About the Role
Based at the Dubai Corporate Office, this role supports planning and execution of technical projects, dry-docking and upgrades, maintains fleet technical records, and coordinates PMS/NSE implementation for new vessels and business units. The position also serves as PSD system Advanced/Admin User across internal and third-party platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Records & Planning
- Maintain 5-year Dry-Docking/Overhaul master plan
- Prepare monthly DD performance and technical reliability reports
- Coordinate monthly maintenance planning with technical teams
- Manage technical documentation for new vessels
- Maintain inspection records and technical filing systems
- Support QA inspections and close technical non-conformities
PMS / NSE Administration
- Coordinate PMS/NSE setup for new vessels and BUs
- Monitor PM completion and follow up on outstanding jobs
- Manage DCR processes and service/spares invoices in NSE
- Create service requests and maintain trackers
Budget & Cost Control
- Assist in CAPEX/OPEX preparation
- Track dry-docking costs, AFEs, and purchase orders
- Maintain cost trackers and expenditure records
General Support
- Resolve system and software access issues
- Maintain vessel/equipment database (Power BI)
- Manage technical action trackers and admin support
Qualifications & Experience
- Mechanical or Marine qualification preferred
- 5+ years in marine maintenance planning / PMS / administration
- Experience in marine industry and knowledge of local suppliers
- Strong reporting, communication, and MS Office skills
